About Natalie

A Picture of Natalie Wilson From Natalie's Woodart

Born and raised in Germany, I moved to the United States in 1999.

Having worked in the IT field most of my life, working with my hands and being creative has always been gratifying to me.

When I was introduced to the art of scroll sawing approximately 9 years ago, it was fascinating to me, to see such delicate work being produced by a tiny saw blade. When I started, my first major project was making wooden puzzles for my 12 grandchildren. As with everything one starts out slow; graduating to better tools, with years of practice, and gaining experience however, I now consider myself absolutely an artist.

Now living in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas, this is my full time passion turned business. I enjoy working with wood, the texture, grain, colors, and even its different scents.

Wood is a living object and deserves our respect.

I have attended many Art and Craft shows, and found that watching patrons, young and old, walk into my booth, seeing their faces light up in enjoyment is wonderfully delightful.

(Of course selling an item or 2 isn’t all that bad either… )

I found that my passion lies in creating custom work; the visionary relationship with my patrons is gratifying, from the original idea through design process, to presenting the finished product.

Offering a variety of products, which include, but is not limited to puzzles, educational items, wall art, signs, and portraits, all work is a matter of dedication to my art.

All items are handmade, start to finish. I do not use CNC, Laser or other non hand-guided tools.
